I have been taking my truck(s) to these guys for years and I have been very satisfied with the service I have received. They stand by their work should you have any issues, and they are always friendly and responsive!
A couple of days ago, my girlfriend brought in her car for a repair that has been needed for a couple years and failed by other shops. She decided to bring the car to Rainier Automotive to finally get the repair done. When she brought it in to the shop, there was a little bit of back and forth and it seemed there was some miscommunication about the issue so I decided to call in on my girlfriend’s behalf. I spoke with the service advisor Walon and all went well, I was able to explain the problem more in depth, and received good information from him and was able to translate that information back to my girlfriend. All went well, initial complaint was fixed and she even had some other recommended services done by them because they were so nice and we were happy with their service. We get the car back, it works properly, everything is great. So now this brings me to the issue. I have nothing against the shop itself, they appear to do honest work and that is great. But a couple of days go by and my girlfriend receives an inappropriate message at 3:30 in the morning on Facebook from the SERVICE ADVISOR WALON. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior, I am apart of this industry, I have been a service advisor at a high end repair shop and this behavior is absolutely unacceptable. It is completely inappropriate in this industry to seek out your customers online especially one who’s boyfriend you directly spoke with. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. It freaked my girlfriend out and she no longer wants to visit this shop. Just thought people should know that the service advisor of this shop (who has access to your home address and phone number, among other private information) is hands down an absolute CREEP. I hope this shop parts ways with this employee so we can feel safe returning to this shop that we previously had loved.
The issue with my car was difficult to diagnose and ultimately meant it needed to go to the dealer. Despite spending several hours trying to figure out the issue they only charged me for one hour of labor since they were not able to find the root cause. I would not hesitate to bring my car back (or any car) here.
Deena and Jim when above and beyond to work with my third party warranty to cover as much of my repair as possible. The report provided by the technician that was diagnosing and inspecting my vehicle was thorough and detailed. I refuse to take my vehicle into any other mechanic in the greater maple valley/black diamond area. Vehicle: Subaru Outback (05-07) 2.4i
